Dr. Jeff Wenzel joined Southwest Imaging and Interventional Specialists in 2003 and specializes in MRI. His fellowship in Magnetic Resonance Imaging at Baylor University, Dallas, encompassed all areas of MR Imaging including body, musculoskeletal, and neuroradiology.
Dr. Wenzel completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, Texas, during which he was presented the RSNA Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award and the Bronze Medal Award from the American Roentgen Ray Society.
Dr. Wenzel’s internship in Internal Medicine was at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. He attended The University of Texas Medical School at Houston where he received the Merck Award for academic achievement, and he has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Wenzel serves on the Operations Committee for SIIS. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and The National Board of Medical Examiners, and is a member of The Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, American College of Radiology, Texas Radiological Society, Dallas County Medical Society, American Medical Association and Texas Medical Association.
