Interventional Radiology 

Noah B. Appel joined Southwest Imaging and Interventional Specialists (SIIS) in 2003.  He has been part of this practice since 2011 when SIIS merged with Radiology  Associates of Tarrant County to become Radiology Associates of North Texas.

He received his A.B. (1993) and M.D. (1997) degrees from Washington University in St. Louis.  Dr. Appel then completed his internship at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri followed by Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine.  He completed his fellowship in Interventional Radiology also at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in 2003.  Dr. Appel is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology and also holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.  In 2007 he attained Level 2 Verification of Cardiovascular CT Experience from the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.   Also in 2007 he earned the Registered Vascular Technologist and Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation credentials from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Dr. Appel has served on the Texas Medical Disclosure Panel since 2008, and as its Chairman since 2010.  He is on the Vascular Sonography Examination Committee of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.   His primary practice is at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas where he serves on the Credentials Committee, the Radiology Advisory Committee and the Professional Practice Evaluation Committee. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, Radiologic Society of North America, Society of Interventional Radiology, Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and the Society of Vascular Ultrasound.
